Roanoke is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Roanoke follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

visited once and i’ll never go back. leopard geckos and ball pythons are in way too small of enclosures, the leopard geckos were kept in 10 gallons and the ball python in a 20 gallon, witnessed a mouse being dropped from a ladder multiple times. the leopard geckos and ball pythons had newspaper as substrate which is highly unsuitable for what their requirements need. im assuming they never health check their animals either from what my friend had told me she also mentioned a couple animals had mites too. they sell surrendered animals for profit and have highly outdated care, if you are to ever get a reptile dont purchase it from here or ask for any care advice from here either. keeping ball pythons and leopard geckos in too small enclosure is NOT ok at all as it doesnt all for a proper heat gradient which wont allow the animal to thermoregulate (cool down or warm up) wich could potentially lead to overheating and possibly death, newpaper for ball pythons is just wrong and will lead to dehydration and respiratory issues as they need 65%-75% humidity. dont shop here ever go to a ethical reptile shop that cares about their animals.

Will sell you a 6 foot fish, not tell you, and then will let you give it to them, but will not let you swap it out with anything else. This particular employee even showed me a baby red tail cat they had in stock, and as I say “doesn’t that get huge? I only have a 75 gallon tank, don’t do that to me” and they replied with “yeah he gets huge we won’t pull a petco and sell you something that’s too big for your setup” As he sells me a baby high fin shark that I had no idea got up to 4-6 feet. It comes down to customer service. If they would have just swapped it out (which I have done before at this store) I would have been very happy. I didn’t want a refund. Consult with your customers about the size of the animals you’re selling. You’re the experts. Not us. It’s always the right time to do the right thing. You missed your opportunity and have lost a high volume customer. Big disappointment. I try to support local business… looks like I’ll be shopping online from now on. Wasted time and gas to get there just for them to tell me too bad, I can give the giant shark back but the scams over now and theirs no refunds or exchanges. I guess I would have saved money giving him the roy

This store is the prime example of what humans touch, they destroy. How people leave good reviews for this place must also be how we are so easily able to turn a blind eye to what actually matters. There are birds that are completely neglected, as well as other animals. Fed incorrectly, absolutely no toys, and even some injured with no care shown to them. This place is heartbreaking to be in.

Animals with little to no water, old poop & urates in almost every enclosure, no employee to be found and a Cockatoo on the floor trying to leave out the door. Very disappointing how down hill this business has clearly gone, we were never greeted either. I will not be shopping here ever again, but I do hope that these animals get the care they deserve.

I am deeply disappointed in the way this business cares for it’s animals. The gerbils have no wheel and have nothing to do but sleep all day. A wheel would greatly improve their quality of life- whether they are there for two days or two months. I shouldn’t have supported this business but unfortunately I did. I bought some rats from them, mostly because I pitied them, but as soon as I brought them home they showed symptoms of respiratory infections (sneezing, congestion, ect.). Immediately brought them to the vet and they were diagnosed with pneumonia. Pneumonia doesn’t happen overnight. Upon purchasing them I had to sign a paper agreeing that the store cannot guarantee the sex or health of an animal which is EXTREMELY disappointing. If this store actually cared about the animals they are selling they would have noticed the illness and tried to treat it. Instead they are trying to wipe their hands clean of it by making you sign a paper. The workers are friendly enough but I was put off by the way they were talking about the animals. They were keeping males with females and could not confidently tell me which was which. To top it all off they sent me home with my rats in an old box
